Give away! Fat Quarter Shop "Fat Quarter Style" and "Great Granny Squared"!

It has been a bit quiet on the blog, I've been working on lots of things but nothing I'm able to share so I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a little give away.
My sponsor, Fat Quarter Shop, sent me copies of  "Fat Quarter Style" and "Great Granny Squared" to give away to one of my readers!

I love the quilts in Fat Quarter Style.  My favorite quilt is the Primrose which would be so cute in these Lecien Flower sugar prints
The book includes layouts and instructions to make a crib up to a queen size quilt and all are fat quarter friendly.

And of course you know how much I love everything Lori Holt designs!  I am a big fan of her fabric and her newest book, Great Granny Squared, is wonderful!

Please leave a comment telling me what you are working on this summer even if it is your tan : )
and I will pick a winner Monday August 4th.  The comments will be open until 9:00 pst on Sunday August 3rd.  Give away is open to domestic and international commenters! Good Luck!

Have a Wonderful Day!!!

  5. I have been working on 3 t-shirt quilts. My friend Carrie recently passed from cancer. Her mother asked me to make quilts for Carrie's sons and one for Carrie's husband. I couldn't turn her down. I have 10 years of cancer t-shirts and have enough to make 2 quilts and one throw. It has been an honor to work on these quilts. I hope I do them justice. Thanks, Kathy

I am working on my second all-scrappy king-sized hexagon quilt. It consists of over 4,000 1" side hexagons, all basted, then sewn together by hand. I have finished basting all my pieces and have now started sewing them together! The first one I did, is for myself and my hub's bed and this new one is for my teenaged son. He requested it, which came as a complete surprise!
I also hope to get a Layer Cake Lemonade quilt done, as I have a layer cake all ready for it!

  64. I have been working on my scraps. Doing the purge by sewing up old things and giving away others. I am trying to change out some old for some new. I used to work in a fabric store long long time ago so I have some old looking calico that needs to be used up or donated. My piles seem to grow overnight so the more I sew I hope equals better. I want to sort of revamp my sewing room one of these days too. Just finished a sampler of scraps and orphan blocks and now making up kits for Quilts for kids charity at the county fair.
